Overwatch Settings Options
The Overwatch Settings Options got an overhaul after the prolonged xmas vacations with beta patch build 27001.
In Display Mode you can play as Full Screen, Windowed Mode or Borderless Windowed. Additionally, a highly requested feature that Blizzard Entertainment listened through community feedback is now implemented: Field of View — which has a slider going up to “103.”
FPS has three options to limit the frames per second: No Limit, Display, or 30 FPS.
The Graphics Quality setting offers the basics (Low, Medium, High), plus Ultra. However, there is a new video setting Epic.
The Video Settings also offers the Color Blind feature with the following modes: Off, Deuteranopia, Protanopia, and Tritanopia.
The Sound Settings tab offers a lot of control with volume sliders for Master Volume (Sound Effects, Music and In-Game Voice) and Voice Chat.
You can also enable or disable Sound in Background, Party Voice Chat and Team Voice Chat. Voice Chat Mode allows you to toggle between Push to Talk or Open Mic.
In the Controls Tab you can adjust settings for your Mouse or Gamepad.
This feature give you three slots per option for either PC or gamepad. You might notice that it is currently a global key binding, but I must point out that Jeff Kaplan said during the BlizzCon 2016 Overwatch: What’s Next panel the following:
The Gameplay tab only offers two options at the moment. You can toggle on or off the Kill Cam or the Kill Feed — which is a nice option.
The Social tab at the moment has only one option to toggle the Profanity Filter.
