Sombra ARG: Network Breaches Reported in Russia

Blizzard Entertainment posted a new tweet where La Voz de Dorado reports LumériCo CEO Guillermo Portero has stepdown. Atlas News reports that Sombra has breached networks in Russia and across the globe.

If you happen to go to Volskaya Industries, go to the second floor in Point A (above the big health pack). You will see a monitor saying Acceso No Authorizado. Sombra Protocol v2.3.

DORADO, MEXICO—Today, a defiant Guillermo Portero announced that he is temporarily stepping down as CEO of LumériCo following recent revelations by the Sombra hacker collective, unprecedented protests, and widespread civil unrest that took place yesterday. Perhaps the most visible evidence of the incidents can be seen in the widespread pro-Sombra graffiti that has been reported around the world.

While his long-term future at LumériCo is still in doubt, sources within the company believe that this could be the end for the popular executive. However, they stressed that he has not officially resigned or been relieved of his duties, as some within the company still have faith in the charismatic leader.

Whether the move will appease public opinion that has turned against LumériCo in recent weeks remains to be seen. Portero has reiterated that he expects to be fully exonerated pending the authorities’ review of the company’s conduct and a continued investigation into the hacking of LumériCo systems that led to the release of e-mails.

Lost in the recent news is a reported second breach into the LumériCo systems, which has security insiders concerned that the company’s wide-ranging network infrastructure could still be compromised. Similar breaches have been reported around the world including, most recently, Volskaya Industries, Russia’s premier anti-omnic security force.

Sombra ARG: LumériCo Email Corruption

November 1 is here already, and the LumériCo website is getting hammered with tons of traffic from fans pressing F5 to reload the page, causing a real life outage of service. Sometimes the page give a Bad Gateway 502 error message.

The latest update is found in María Jiménez’s webmail. Two new emails titled: Email Corruption and Admin Terminal Blocked. Accessing the Admin section in her webmail now has a warning message:

“All unathorized access will be prosecuted with all the extent of the law. All commands will be recorded and controlled by a whole team of IT engineers.”

Sombra ARG: LumériCo Revelations: CEO Guillermo Portero Under Fire

Guillermo Portero is in trouble after leaked evidence of corruption — A little nice thing Blizzard Entertainment posted on the official Overwatch Facebook page.

Personally, and that’s just me, November 1 happens on a Tuesday. Would it be far-fetched to think that a Festival de la Luz PvE Brawl takes us into a Halloween Terror-setup-look-alike in Dorado fighting either the Los Muertos gang or LumériCo’s security team?

DORADO, MEXICO—LumériCo has been engulfed in scandal by documents brought to light by the hacker collective known as “Sombra.” The documents are alleged to have been obtained during recent security breaches of the energy company’s internal networks. While LumériCo and Mexican law enforcement have categorized these break-ins as criminal actions, the Sombra collective claims that it is “only acting in the public interest.”

At this time, the massive file dump is still being analyzed and dissected, but a number of allegations have already been made, many of them focusing on the office of LumériCo CEO Guillermo Portero. Documents indicate that Mr. Portero used the company’s funds as his own piggy bank, that he was personally involved in bribing public officials and creating a system of kickbacks and payoffs beneficial to LumériCo, and finally, that he proposed a plan to seize privately held land via government expropriation to expand LumériCo’s facilities throughout Mexico.

Long live the King!

The King Guillermo Portero of LumériCo invites cordially, his loyal servants, to participate in his crowning event and to celebrate his infinite greed and treason toward the people of México. We gave coordinated the publication of info that demonstrates that Portero is a viper, that have for a long time ripoff the riches of our country for his own wealth. He has corrupted our government, turned our sisters and brothers into beggars, and he won’t stop until controlling the whole country under his dominance. But we, Los Muertos, won’t tolerate the celebration of his reign of corruption. We’ll demonstrate to our new conquistadores (conquerors) who wil take the reins of the future of our country! On November 1st, we’ll dethrone the King Viper and we’ll celebrate the recovery of our home.

Sombra ARG: Lumerico Website

A Lumerico website was discovered in the latest Sombra ARG update after Blizzard deployed Overwatch Patch v1.4.0.2.32448 (earlier today: Oct-19) which revealed a new clue.

If you remember, on Tue Oct 18, 2016, after the AMomentInCrime.com website’s countdown reached 100% there was a message in spanish saying: “Bastion E-54 unidad comprometida” which translates into “Bastion E-54 unit compromised” — but the proper meaning is “hacked.”

Lo and behold, Bastion got hacked for a few hours. Basically, for a short period of time (early morning hours of Wed Oct 19th) the new Overwatch patch played an audio file with awkward beeps coming from Bastion when he came close to the monitor that displays the “Protocolo Sombra v2.3” message in El Dorado. The beeping was identified to be morse code: SQOFJFBNITIZWGDXSDO

Curiously, some people claim that Blizzard removed the audio file shortly after people deciphered the morse code. Thus, this can’t be reproduced anymore. This video shows how those beeps sounded like:

**A nice Morse Code tool can be found here.
**Morse Code letter chart here.

The Morse code was unlocked through Vigenere cipher by Discord user Crab using the previous password hint (discovered on Aug 24, 2016): [email protected]:[email protected]@

The Morse code data resulted into this string: ACCESSWWWLUMERICOMX
