  • 23 new voicelines
  • 2 Highlight Intros: Symmetra and Widowmaker
  • 13 new skins
  • 7 new Victory Poses
  • 3 new Emotes: Mei, McCree & Zarya
  • 51 new Sprays
  • 2 Winter-themed Maps: Hanamura and King’s Row
  • 19 new Player Icons

Overwatch Winter Wonderland Skins

The Winter Wonderland skins can be obtained through Loot Boxes which you can earn by leveling up, or three loot boxes by playing your weekly Arcade games, or randomly acquiring them by purchasing them in the in-game Shop. The fourth way to get these skins is by going to the Hero Gallery/Skins/ and purchasing them with gold. Some of them cost 750 or 3000 gold.

Not all heroes have a Winter Wonderland skin. These are the ones currently available in 2016.

Winter Maps

Currently there are two maps with unique environmental changes: Hanamura and King’s Row. Basically, these two maps have snow on the ground, trees, and buildings. Both also have snowing weather effects. You can create Custom Games to explore both maps. They are at the bottom of the list with the word (Winter) at the right of the name.

King’s Row (Winter)

Buildings in King’s Row have holiday decorations on the doors, and gift boxes. When near the Fish-BELL-chips shop, you can listen to the “12 Days of Christmas” theme played by bells. The Defense base plays the “Jingle Bell” theme, and there is a choir play at the Attack base. These winter maps are awesome.

Hanamura

Hanamura isn’t as Christmas holidays-theme heavy as King’s Row, but it has light decorations on both bases. snowman sculptures, and peppermint candy cane. The entire map is covered in snow, and there are environmental weather fog and snowing effects. You can hear a winter storm sound in the ambience near the edges of the map. The colors seem crispier, saturated (especially the cherry blossom trees), and foggy.

Victory Poses

Not all heroes got a Victory Pose treat, but a few of them got a Toast variation. Mercy and D.va are unique, however.

Highlight Intro

Only Symmetra and Widowmaker got a Winter Wonderland themed Highlight Intro: Symmetra Snowflakes and Widowmaker Under the Mistletoe (cost 750 gold each)

Emotes

Only three heroes have a Winter Wonderland themed emote: Mei (Snowman), McCree (Hat Trick) for 750 gold, and Zarya (Mystery Gift) for 3000 gold.

Voice Lines

All 23 heroes have a Winter Wonderland themed voice line.

Sprays

All heroes have at least 2 new sprays: one of them is an ornament variant. All heroes have access to the following new sprays: Snowhog, Snowcree, Snowmei, and Snowreaper.
