Overwatch: Storm Rising Event

Blizzard Entertainment announced the Overwatch: Storm Rising event will start on April 16, and ends on May 6.

The announcement was made via Tweet through a decrypted archive’s audio record.

This special event happens chronologically shortly after Overwatch: Uprising (King’s Row).

There are two prominent characters mentioned in this video: Maximillien (Doomfist’s accountant), and the female voice narrating the audio… one that I have never heard of before… Soujorn.

It seems Storm Rising will set Tracer and her team to strike Maximillien in the new Havana map.

Another clue revealed in this clip is that Soujorn seems to be a high-ranking member of Overwatch or Blackwatch. Soujorn assigned Tracer for this Maximillien mission.

UPDATE (Tue, April 9): New video released shows Maximillien. Emphasis on “Chase the Truth.” There is a brief view of what looks like a Havana street with modernized classic 60s cars.

Commander Morrison, I have a proposal. We are going to catching Doomfist the wrong way. He is clean; but his accountant Maximillian... follow the money, and you will find the dirt you need.

I know you are worried about sending the strike team out again after what happened with Reinhardt, but I have been working with them, and I know they are ready.

I am putting Tracer in charge, with Mercy, Winston, and Genji in support. She has grown as a leader since the King's Row mission, and I know you will agree. Call me back when you get this.

And commander... trust me, they will get it done. Soujourn out.
