Overwatch Comics: Symmetra – A Better World

Symmetra: A Better World is the fourth digital comics published by Blizzard Entertainment, written by Andrew Robinson and illustrated by Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz.

This story takes us to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the office of the Mayor. There is a negotiation. The Mayor has to decide between two corporation’s proposals: The Vishkar Corporation’s or Calado’s.

The Vishkar Corporation is known for its hard-light technology. Satya Vaswani (aka Symmetra) is their most talented engineer. Her plan is to provide improved housing for residents of the Favela and everyone in Rio de Janeiro. It’s clear the Madame Mayor isn’t too supportive of helping the favelas (suburbs or slums).

With negotiations going in favor of the competition, Symmetra is sent by the Vishkar Corporation owner to infiltrate Calado’s offices in search of dirt to put on his name to force the Mayor into accepting Vishkar’s proposal instead.

Things don’t go as planned, and Symmetra’s actions lead to disaster. Now she must look deep into her soul in search of answers. What’s the price for making the world a better place? Read the comics here.

UPDATE: Robert Brooks tweeted me this comics has an interactive motion version with special sound effects and mustic.

Symmetra grew up in Hyderabad (India). Age 28.
Characters: Mr. Sanjay Korpal (Vishkar Corporation’s owner), Madame Mayor, Mr. Calado (owner of Calado Corporation).

The true enemy of humanity is disorder.

A Better World, the fourth in our series of free digital comic shorts, follows Symmetra as she embarks on an unexpectedly dangerous endeavor in corporate espionage.

In “A Better World,” when the Vishkar Corporation’s proposal to remodel a Brazilian city center is blocked by the mayor, the company calls on Symmetra—the secret identity of Vishkar architech Satya Vaswani—to get the contract by any means necessary. But when events explode out of control, Symmetra finds herself in over her head… and winds up questioning her mission.
